EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics has a pair of special events planned for this Thursday, October 27 in the John Rutledge King Center. At 6:15 p.m., the Wasps' athletic teams will host their annual Trick-or-Treat bash for children. That event will roll into the Fourth Annual Buzzmania Basketball event which begins at 7:00 p.m. at Bob Johnson Court.
Children are invited to the King Center in full costume and Trick-or-Treat throughout the building. Your children will have an opportunity to meet the student-athletes at E&H, who will also be dressed in costume to hand out candy. Please join us in celebrating Halloween at Emory & Henry.
Immediately following the Trick-or-Treat event, fans are invited to stick around for the Buzzmania celebration. The event, which is free to the public, will feature a scrimmage, skills competition, three-point contest and dunk contest. Fans will also have the opportunity to hear from coaches David Willson and Anne Crutchfield about the upcoming seasons.
The event will have a brand new format this year. The men’s and women’s teams have been split into Blue and White squads. All of the events will have a bracket which pits a Blue team member against a White team member. For every event that they win, they will receive points added to the team score. Whichever team finishes with the most points, will win the Buzzmania event.
Fans are invited to join in the fun as well. Choose the Blue team or White team to win the Buzzmania event by wearing Blue or White to the event. If your team wins, you will win a prize!
