FOREST, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Baseball Team has received two spots on the 2013 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Teams, ODAC officials announced Friday. Senior centerfielder Eric Houff (Blacksburg, Va.) and junior catcher Connor Wise (Cookeville, Tenn.) were both named to the second team.
Houff led the team in most offensive categories this season as he picked up All-ODAC honors for the first time in his career. He was first in batting average (.363), at bats (157), hits (57), doubles (11), RBI (33) and stolen bases (19). Houff finished his career as the E&H record holder with 175 hits, 511 at bats and 35 doubles.
In his first season wearing blue and gold, Wise batted .311 and scored a team-high 26 runs with 38 hits and nine doubles. He also led the Wasps with six home runs, drew 18 walks and was hit by pitch 12 times. Wise also finished second on the squad, as he notched 29 RBI.
Emory & Henry finished the 2013 season with a 9-27 record and a 3-17 mark in league play.
