DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont College Baseball Team (11-5) picked up a dominating 32-4 win over visiting Emory & Henry College (4-12) Tuesday night at Loudermilk Field.
The Lions scored four or more runs in four different innings, as they pounded out 26 hits and took advantage of seven walks and seven errors.
Emory & Henry managed 12 hits in the contest led by senior right fielder Brandon Lineberry's (Hillsville, Va.) two doubles while sophomore centerfielder Josh Macek (Concord, N.C.) drove in two runs with a double of his own. The Wasps sent four pitchers to the mound on the evening.
E&H will have a quick turnaround as it travels to Birmingham, Alabama for a 4:30 p.m. (5:30 p.m. Eastern) game against No. 9 Birmingham-Southern College.
