Intermont Equestrian IHSA Team Wins Twice At High Point Over The Weekend

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry University IHSA Team captured back-to-back wins this past weekend to kick off the fall season. 

SATURDAY

The Basics
TEAM PLACE – 1st/10
LOCATION – High Point, North Carolina
VENUE - Fox Run Farm

The Results
- To start the weekend, freshman Nada Soueidan (Williamsburg, Va.) kicked off her IHSA career with a win in Open Over Fences and fourth in Open on the flat. 

- In the intermediate division, sophomore Ella Bramer (East Amherst, N.Y.) picked up the win on the flat and finished second over fences. 

- Senior Isabella Oglesby (Virginia Beach, Va.) and sophomore Caroline Hall (Bostic, NC) dominated the Limit Division, with both of them winning their sections over fences and on the flat. 

- Junior Bailey Shive (Hot Springs, Ark.) picked up second place in Novice Equitation on the flat while sophomore Kella Clark (Newland, N.C.) took first in the Pre-Novice division. 

- The day concluded with sophomore Elana Trejo (Rustburg, Va.) taking second place in Introductory on the Flat. 

The Awards
- Oglesby was High-Point Rider of the Day, and Hall was Reserve High-Point rider.

- The team was High-Point Team of the Day with a 14-point lead.

The Results
- The Open Equitation Division started the day with freshman Nada Soueidan (Williamsburg, Va.) taking third on the flat and first over fences.

- The intermediate division saw two of our riders kick off their collegiate careers. Freshman Halley Robello (Swansea, Mass.) finished third in Intermediate Equitation on the flat, and freshman Rylie Miller (Bernville, Pa.) picked up fifth over fences. 

- In Limit, senior Isabella Oglesby (Virginia Beach, Va.) finished first on the flat, and senior Alexa Zorbas (Purcellville, Va.) was first over fences. 

- Junior Julia Seery (Colebrook, Ct.) was first in her section of Novice Equitation on the Flat, and junior Cetari White-Anderson (Clatskaine, Ore.) finished second in her section. Pre-Novice saw junior Norah Jones (Falls Church, Va.) kick off her collegiate career with a blue ribbon. 

- To conclude the weekend, freshman Haylie Dowell (North Wilkesboro, N.C.) made her IHSA debut a good one, picking up the win in Introductory Equitation on the flat.
