E&H fans will be able to purchase a commemorative t-shirt with the official logo of the contest at the gate. Shirts are $10 for students with ID and $15 for all other fans. Cash is preferred for the purchase of the shirts.

Emory & Henry holds a 3-1 record all-time against UVA Wise. The teams met for the first time on October 29, 1994 in Emory. That day, the Wasps came out on top of then-Clinch Valley College by a score of 35-31. On October 28, 1995, E&H ran the series record to 2-0, defeating the Highland Cavaliers, 29-20.

After a 15-year hiatus, the game returned. E&H hosted UVA Wise on October 18, 2010, earning a 20-10 victory. The most recent meeting was at Wise on September 17, 2011. It was the second-highest-scoring game in the series and the most electric.

Down by a 30-27 margin, Wise forced E&H to punt from deep in its own territory with just seconds remaining. The Wasps nearly sealed the victory but before the Cavaliers' return man was downed, he lateraled the ball to a teammate who completed the return for a touchdown with no time remaining on the clock and a 33-30 victory.
