Burgess recorded a career-high 13 tackles, including one for loss, while forcing a fumble in the Wasps' 34-13 road SAC win over Tusculum University Saturday afternoon. Burgess increased his season total for tackles to 33 while he now has 2.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage, has forced one fumble and has recovered another.

This marks the second time this season that an E&H player has earned weekly league honors after Jordan Jackson was named Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in a win over Glenville State in week zero.

Emory & Henry (3-1, 2-1 SAC) is back at home this Saturday, September 27 when the Wasps host Anderson (S.C.) University for another SAC showdown. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. from Fred Selfe Stadium at Nicewonder Field.
