ROCK HILL, S.C. - Emory & Henry University senior wide receiver/return specialist Cam Peoples (Reidsville, N.C.) has been selected as the South Atlantic Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week for week four. This year, the SAC Player of the Week is sponsored by WePlayed Sports.

Peoples had a pair of punt returns for 81 total yards, including a 72-yard touchdown scamper that broke the game open for the Wasps in their 42-13 victory over Anderson (S.C.) University this past Saturday. Peoples now leads the South Atlantic Conference in punt return yards (193) and punt return average (32.2).
This marks the third time this season that an E&H player has earned weekly league honors after Jordan Jackson was named Offensive Player of the Week in week zero and A.J. Burgess was named Defensive Player of the Week for week three.
Emory & Henry (4-1, 3-1 SAC) is at home this Saturday, October 4 when the Wasps host Carson-Newman University for Sports Hall of Fame Induction and Military and First Responder Appreciation Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. from Fred Selfe Stadium at Nicewonder Field.
