Emory & Henry Announces 2026 Football Game Day Promotions

EMORY, Va. – Fans can look forward to an exciting lineup of themed game days and special promotions as Emory & Henry Football unveils its promotional schedule for the 2026 home season at Fred Selfe Stadium. Throughout the fall, Wasps fans, students, alumni, and community members will have opportunities to celebrate traditions, honor special groups, and showcase school spirit with a series of themed events and color-outs. The promotional schedule includes:

September 12 – Community Day / Gold Out

The 2026 home opener against Tusculum will feature Community Day as Emory & Henry welcomes local families, organizations, and supporters to campus. Fans are encouraged to wear gold and help create a Gold Out atmosphere throughout Fred Selfe Stadium.

September 26 – Hall of Fame Weekend / Military & First Responders Appreciation Day

Emory & Henry will celebrate Hall of Fame Weekend by recognizing the newest class of athletic inductees while also honoring military members and first responders for their service and sacrifice. All military and first responders will also receive free admission to the game. Fans are encouraged to wear army green in support of the day's theme as the Wasps take on Newberry.

October 10 – Homecoming / Lou Out Luau / Blue Out

One of the most anticipated weekends of the year returns with Homecoming festivities across campus. The popular Lou Out Luau in honor of Hall of Fame coach Lou Wacker will add to the celebration as alumni, students, and fans reunite to cheer on the Wasps against Mars Hill. Supporters are encouraged to wear their best island attire or Emory blue for the Blue Out.

October 31 – The Haunted Hive / Black Out

Halloween comes to Fred Selfe Stadium as The Haunted Hive takes over game day versus Lenoir-Rhyne. Fans can enjoy a festive atmosphere while helping create a Black Out by wearing black and bringing the energy for a spooky afternoon of football.

November 14 – Southwest Virginia Bowl / Senior Day / White Out

The regular-season home finale will feature the Southwest Virginia Bowl and Senior Day as Emory & Henry recognizes its graduating student-athletes for their contributions to the football program. The Wasps will be looking to make it five straight wins over rival the University of Virginia's College at Wise. Fans are encouraged to wear white as part of the season's final color-out.
