ATHENS, W.Va. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Soccer Team (6-3-4) fought for a full 90 minutes, but eventually had to settle for a scoreless non-conference draw against Concord University (11-3-2) Wednesday evening. The two teams battled each other and the elements, but neither could find the game-deciding goal. The draw extends the Wasps' unbeaten streak to double digits at 10 games.

How It Happened
- The Wasps fired the first two attempts of the contest in the opening 20 minutes, but could not direct either attempt on target. The Mountain Lions responded with the following four shots, including one on frame, but the E&H defense was up to the task to keep things scoreless heading into the halftime break.
- Freshman forward Samuel Ulrich (Balneario Camboriu, BRAZIL) had his first shot of the contest ring off of the crossbar in the 57th minute and junior defender Grayson Cunningham (Kingsport, Tenn.) saw his attempt saved by Concord keeper Nathan Scargill. Junior E&H goalkeeper Baptiste Berthozat (Saint-Martin-de-Crau, FRANCE) was called into action on multiple occasions in the second half and was able to keep the home team off of the scoreboard. In the end the two squads had to settle for a share of the spoils in the 0-0 draw.
Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Six different Wasps recorded a shot in the contest with Cunningham's attempt being the only one that found its target.
- Berthozat finished with four saves in goal to preserve the shutout for Emory & Henry.
Concord Individual Leaders
- Malher Santi Possu paced the Mountain Lions with a match-high five attempts, although only one of those found its intended target. Reese Joshua-McCarthy registered three shots that were all on frame.
- Scargill saved the lone shot of the game that threatened his goal.
