How It Happened
- Ulrich Da Silva wasted no time as he fired the first shot of the game just 26 seconds after kickoff, but it went begging wide right. E&H continued to push as they fired two more shots, but could not break through on the scoreboard. The Wasps took the lead in the 34th minute as they worked a perfect set piece routine that saw freshman midfielder Noah Serwy (Liege, BELGIUM) find freshman defender Adrian Colon (Maunabo, PUERTO RICO) who rifled a shot past the Wingate keeper to make it 1-0. The Bulldogs managed just two shots in the opening half and the Wasps held the 1-0 advantage at the break.
- Emory & Henry remained the aggressors to begin the second stanza as they outshot Wingate 4-0 over the first 15 minutes of action. Wingate looked as if they would finally get on the scoreboard in the 66th minute when they were awarded a penalty kick after a foul was called inside the 18-yard box. Junior goalkeeper Baptiste Berthozat (Saint-Martin-de-Crau, FRANCE) came up huge as he dove to his right and parried the shot attempt to preserve his clean sheet and the 1-0 lead. Both teams had chances to score over the remainder of the half, but the Wasps defense locked down to keep the Bulldogs at bay and clinch the one-goal victory.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Serwy finished with three shot attempts and his sixth assist of the season to place him atop the SAC leaders. Colon scored his goal on a pair of shots.
- Berthozat finished with three saves in goal to earn his seventh win of the year.

Wingate Individual Leaders
- Joakim Gunnar, David Serdynski and Olle Nordenhall all registered a pair of shots for the Bulldogs.
- Quincy Gibbs made one stop in net for Wingate.
