EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry University Men's Tennis Team (0-10, 0-4 SAC) and Women's Tennis Team (2-8, 1-3 SAC) split a pair of South Atlantic Conference matches with visiting Mars Hill University Tuesday afternoon. The Wasps' women's team earned a 4-0 victory, while the men's team fell by a 4-0 final score.

Men's Match
- The Lions earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take the point and the early 1-0 advantage.
- Senior Nathan Spurling (Abingdon, Va.) was defeated 2-6, 1-6 by Riccardo Moretti at No. 1 singles.
- Freshman Bangalie Turay (Las Vegas, Nev.) dropped a 2-6, 1-6 decision to Dylan Wilson in their No. 2 singles match.
- Senior Keenan Glago (Harrisonburg, Va.) was down 0-6, 5-5 to Sirac Aslan in their No. 3 singles match when it was left unfinished.
- Sophomore Leo Knothe (Hanover, GERMANY) was behind 2-6, 3-2 to Yasen Kehayaminchev in their No. 4 singles match, but it was unfinished.
- Senior Tristan Hicks (Abingdon, Va.) was down 2-6, 4-3 at No. 5 singles against Diell Mehmedi.
- Senior Gus Senn (Charlotte, N.C.) fell by a 0-6, 1-6 final to Ishamael Dowuoua in their No. 6 singles match.

Women's Match
- Emory & Henry won No. 3 doubles by forfeit and the partnership of senior Katie Bradley (Auchterarder, SCOTLAND) and sophomore Ellyson Kovacs (Bristol, Tenn.) were victorious by a big 6-1 margin at No. 2 doubles to clinch the point and put the Wasps ahead 1-0 in the match.
- Junior Olivia Pursley (Hendersonville, N.C.) led Shakti Mishra 6-4, 5-4 at No. 1 singles when the match was called.
- Sophomore Tahnne Sesma (Zumaia, SPAIN) trailed by a 6-7, 2-1 score to Valentina Castro at the No. 2 singles spot.
- Kovacs was leading by a 6-2, 5-3 margin to Charne Mulde in their No. 3 singles match.
- Bradley downed Versa Yadav by a 6-3, 6-1 scoreline at No. 4 singles.
- Senior Nina Williams (Fleet, ENGLAND) defeated Alaina Holden by a big 6-1, 6-0 margin at No. 5 singles.
- Freshman Sarah McClure (Lansing, N.C.) earned a win by walkover at No. 6 singles.
