Emory & Henry Men’s Indoor Track & Field Breaks Two Records At Final Day Of SAC Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Indoor Track & Field Team completed postseason play on day two of the South Atlantic Conference Indoor Championships Saturday. The Wasps saw two records fall as they finished in 12th place.

Top Men's Performances

Track
- Senior Miles Baldwin (Floyd, Va.) broke his own program record in the 3000 meters, finishing in 21st with a time of 8:53.62.
- The 4x400 meter relay team of junior Barlowe Branch, III (Petersburg, Va.), junior Gavin Kegler (Woodbridge, Va.), senior Cody Pecina (Hayter's Gap, Va.) and senior Samuel Tindall (Fort Defiance, Va.) set a new program best with a time of 3:23.49 to finish in ninth. 

Field
- Junior Drew Craft (Covington, Va.) placed eighth in the high jump with a height of 1.84 meters. Junior Joseph Ihlenburg (Roanoke, Va.) finished in 12th with his jump of 1.79 meters.
- Craft took ninth in the triple jump with a leap of 13.81 meters while freshman TaiShaun Cooks (Forest, Va.) was 15th with a 12.80 meter jump.
- Freshman Brock Ayers (Austinville, Va.) took 12th in the shot put with a toss of 13.54 meters. Fellow freshman Phillip Radford (Riner, Va.) was 16th with a distance of 13.32 meters.\
