Cross country regional rankings are determined by a single member coach in each respective region. The role of the regional representative is to weigh each team's strength to project the order of finish at the NCAA Regional Championships in November.
Emory & Henry finished seventh at the Converse Kick-Off on Saturday. The meet served as the de facto Southeast Region Preview Meet as Converse will host this year's region championship at Milliken Research Park.
Wingate University remains at the top of the rankings for a third week in a row. Augusta University, Anderson University, Catawba College, Flagler College and Lincoln Memorial University take up the two through six spots, respectively.
Emory & Henry will return to action on Saturday, October 5 when it competes in the Newberry Invitational which will serve as a preview meet for this fall's South Atlantic Conference Championships.
