Emory & Henry Men’s Cross Country Takes Sixth At SAC Championships; Baldwin Named To All-SAC Third Team

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Cross Country Team entered the postseason on Saturday, finishing sixth at the 2025 South Atlantic Conference Championships. The meet took place at Kinser Park in Greeneville, Tennessee, and was hosted by Tusculum University.

The Results – Men's 8K
- Senior Miles Baldwin (Willis, Va.) was 17th in 27:24 as Emory & Henry's top finisher. Baldwin's finish was good enough to be named All-SAC Third Team.
- Junior Samuel Tindall (Fort Defiance, Va.) ran a 28:37 to take 38th while sophomore Davis Norman (Salem, Va.) was 43rd, clocking a 28:59. Freshman J.T. Moore (Chilhowie, Va.) placed 53rd with his 29:28 and junior Aidan Trautman (Centreville, Md.) rounded out E&H's scorers in 55th (29:30).
- Freshman Brady Widlake (Bristow, Va.) placed 65th, senior Tommy Henzey, IV (Salem, Va.) was 79th, senior Cody Pecina (Hayter's Gap, Va.) was 82nd, junior Gavin Kegler (Woodbridge, Va.) was 84th, sophomore Mason Lee (Marion, Va.) finished 90th and freshman Lucas Hubble (Chilhowie, Va.) was 91st.

The Winners
- Wingate University's Samuel Gibson won medalist honors covering the course in 26:12, beating teammate David Holman by 14 seconds.
- The Bulldogs made it five-straight SAC titles, claiming three of the top four positions. Anderson University was the team runner-up, placing its five scoring runners in the top 13.

- Emory & Henry will next compete at the NCAA Division II Southeast Region Championship on Saturday, November 8. The meet will take place at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
