Game Two – Fairmont State 2, Emory & Henry 16
The Wasps kept rolling in the second game of the doubleheader. Hannah Booth wasted no time picking up where she left off with a 2 run home run in the bottom of the 1st. In the next frame Kylie Cundiff (Roanoke, Va.) sent a solo shot to center field. Hill reached on a single and immediately stole 2nd base, Rodriguez launched a double to center field that brought home Hill. The Wasps then executed the rare double steal to perfection, Cundiff stole second and Greenly Elliott (Danville, Va.) stole home that pushed the lead to 10. 2 batters later Booth doubled for another 2 RBI for a team leading 21 on the year. Liberty Johnson would drive in the final run of the game with a single to shortstop that brought home Amelia Gierke (Salem. Va.)
