The Wasps broke things open in the bottom of the 6th inning. Tristyn Tofano (Roanoke, Va.) began the inning with a double to right field. Liberty Johnson (Arvonia, Va.) followed Tofano's cue with a double of her own that brought in Tofano. Karsen Simpson (Salisbury, N.C.) kept the party going with a single to center field and immediately stole 2nd base. Kylie Cundiff (Roanoke, Va.) walked to load the bases. Back to back wild pitches from the Wolves allowed Kali Cook (Elkin, N.C.) and Simpson to come around and score, pushing the lead to 5 runs at 6-1. A couple batters later it was Street's time to shine once again. Abi roped a pitch over the left center fence for the 3 run home run and the run rule victory.

Game Two – Newberry 1, Emory & Henry 8
The Wasps wasted no time keeping the bats swinging to begin Game 2. E&H had bases loaded as Sawyer Tolley (Bedford, Va.) stepped up to the plate, Tolley singled through the left side to bring in Rachel Hill (Stanardsville, Va.) and go up 1-0 early. The runs didn't stop there, Liberty Johnson squared on a pitch and sent it over the fence to promptly unload the bases for the grand slam, her conference leading 13th of the season, and the 5-0 lead. Greenly Elliott (Danville, Va.), Laila Rodriguez (Virginia Beach, Va.), and Hill all singled back to back to back to load the bases one more time. Street walked with the bases juiced to score the final run of the frame and the 6-0 advantage.

Cundiff got the start in Game 2 and she delivered, getting her first win of the season while allowing only 3 hits, 1 earned run and struck out 4 batters. In the bottom of the 2nd inning the Wasps would add another run to their total when Tolley scored on a fielding error from 3rd. Newberry finally got on the board with a RBI double down the left field line, but that would be the only run they would get.

Karsen Simpson got in on the home run action in the bottom of the 6th with a long ball to right center for the Wasps final run of the game, leading to the 8-1 final.
