Emory & Henry Softball Sees Two Named To All-SAC Teams

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Softball Team saw Sophomore Catcher Hannah Booth (Longwood, Fla.) claim an All-Sac Second Team selection while Senior UTL/P Kylie Cundiff (Roanoke, Va.) was selected to the All-Sac Third Team. This is the Wasps' 4th straight year with an All-South Atlantic Conference Selection.

Booth led the Wasps on the offensive side of the ball with a Batting Average of .374 while compiling a .424 On-Base Percentage and a .652 Slugging. Booth was also atop the team in Hits with 58, Doubles with 13, and second in RBI with 38. 

On March 10th, Booth was named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week after helping E&H to a 3-1 record and sending 3 balls over the fence while driving in 11 runs. Hannah's best game of the season came during that stretch against Fairmont State, Hannah went 7-8 at the plate with 2 home runs in Game 2 and sent 8 runs across the plate during the doubleheader. 

Cundiff started most of her games in the outfield to begin the year where she posted a .900 Fielding percentage and grabbed 21 put-outs. At the plate Kylie reached the bag with a hit 18 times and hit one of the team's 4 triples of the year. In the circle Cundiff made 7 appearances (all starts) and pitched 32.2 innings, only allowing 20 total earned runs and struck out 14 batters. 

Kylie's best game at the plate came in Game 2 against Fairmont State where she batted 1.000 and belted 2 long balls over the outfield fence. On the other side of the ball Cundiff's best performance was in Game 2 against Newberry. Kylie tamed the Wolves going 5.0 innings allowing only 3 hits and 1 earned run, while striking out 4 getting the big conference win.
