HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Basketball Team (3-7, 1-4 SAC) dropped a road South Atlantic Conference showdown to Lincoln Memorial University (8-1, 4-1 SAC) Wednesday evening. The Lady Railsplitters eclipsed the 20-point mark in three of the four quarters en route to the 85-61 victory.

How It Happened
- Things were tight to begin the contest and the home team clung to a narrow 8-7 advantage after five minutes of play. LMU pushed their lead out to 13-10, but back-to-back buckets from graduate student forward Breanna Yarber (Meadowview, Va.) and sophomore guard Lyndie Ramsey (Elizabethton, Tenn.) put the visiting Wasps on top at 14-13. Lincoln Memorial would score the final four points of the quarter to take a 17-14 lead into the second stanza.
- A quick 15-5 run to start the second period saw the Lady Railsplitters increase the margin out to 32-19 with 5:32 remaining in the half. LMU kept the Wasps at arm's length throughout the quarter as they led 38-25 at the break.
- Another run, this one of the 9-2 variety, saw the Lady Railsplitters' advantage reach 20 for the first time at 47-27 in the first two minutes of play to begin the second half. Lincoln Memorial continued to keep the pedal to the metal over the remainder of the third quarter as they held a commanding 65-39 advantage through three quarters of play.
- The home team did not let up to begin the fourth, scoring 10 of the first 12 points of the frame as they saw their lead grow to its largest of the contest at 75-41. LMU's offense was relentless all evening as the Lady Railsplitters earned the win by an 85-61 final scoreline.
Emory & Henry Leaders
- Yarber was solid offensively for the Wasps as she finished with 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the floor, adding six rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot. Ramsey posted a double-double, collecting 16 points, 11 rebounds, two blocks, one assist and a steal.
- Junior forward Gracyn Hall (Randleman, N.C.) had six points and a trio of rebounds while freshman guard Kinley Painter (Johnson City, Tenn.) registered five points, three assists and a rebound.
Lincoln Memorial Individual Leaders
- Kamil Collier led the way for the Lady Railsplitters with a double-double of 21 points, 15 rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals. Lexi Patty racked up 21 points, eight boards, two assists, two steals and a pair of blocks.
- Kallie Housley recorded 12 points, two steals and a rebound while Alexa Smiddy went for nine points, eight assists, three rebounds and a steal.
A Deeper Look
- Emory & Henry shot 39.3 percent (24-for-61) from the field, hitting six three-pointers (26.1%). The Wasps went 7-for-9 (77.8%) at the free throw line.
- Lincoln Memorial made 31-of-72 (43.1%) of their shots and was 9-for-27 (33.3%) from deep. The Lady Railsplitters converted 87.5 percent (14-of-16) of their free throws.
- The Lady Railsplitters outrebounded the Wasps 36-230, and held a commanding 14-3 advantage on second chance points.
- LMU won the turnover battle, forcing 21 compared to committing just nine. The Lady Railsplitters capitalized on the miscues to the tune of 21 points off turnovers, while the Wasps had 13.
- Lincoln Memorial forced the ball inside as they recorded 42 points in the painted area while the Wasps tallied 34.
