EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Basketball Team (4-15, 2-11 SAC) fell in South Atlantic Conference play to Lincoln Memorial University (15-3, 10-3 SAC) Wednesday evening inside the John Rutledge King Center. The Lady Railsplitters knocked down 20 three pointers, including 15 in the first half, on their way to the 82-64 win.

How It Happened
- The Wasps were hot to start the first quarter and a made three by sophomore guard Tori West (Richmond, Va.) gave them the early 13-7 lead at the 5:40 mark. LMU came to life from long range, drilling five jumpers from long range to give them the 27-19 advantage at the end of the first stanza.
- Lincoln Memorial continued to utilize the long ball as the visitors pushed their margin out to 39-23 with 5:43 remaining in the second quarter. E&H bounced back with eight consecutive points over the next two and a half minutes of action, but the Lady Railsplitters could not be contained from three-point land as they took a 50-38 lead into the halftime break.
- Emory & Henry began the second half the same way they started the first, trimming the deficit to just a pair at 54-52 on the back of a 14-4 run over the first 4:39 of the frame. Lincoln Memorial had a response and the Lady Railsplitters managed to keep the surging Wasps at bay, holding a 63-54 lead heading into the final quarter.
- LMU started the fourth quarter with a 12-2 run of their own to push their advantage back out to a comfortable margin at 75-56. The Wasps pulled back within 13, but that was as close as they would get as Lincoln Memorial earned the victory by an 82-64 final tally.

Emory & Henry Leaders
- Freshman forward Hali Harris (Richmond, Va.) registered her first career double-double with 16 points, a career-high 10 rebounds, three assists and a steal. West finished with 14 points, two assists and a steal of her own.
- Junior forward Gracyn Hall (Randleman, N.C.) added 10 points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist while freshman guard Kinley Painter (Johnson City, Tenn.) had 10 points, four rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals.

Lincoln Memorial Individual Leaders
- Kallie Housley led all scorers with 18 points, going 6-for-9 from deep, with one rebound and a steal in just 11 minutes of action. Alexa Smiddy added 15 points, six rebounds, six assists and a steal for the Lady Railsplitters.
- Lexi Patty posted 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and a trio of steals while Kamil Collier went for 11 points, five boards, four steals and three assists.

A Deeper Look
- Emory & Henry was 22-for-52 (42.3%) from the field and 7-for-20 (35.0%) from deep. The Wasps finished shooting 81.3& (13-for-16) at the free throw line.
- Lincoln Memorial shot exactly 50.0% (30-for-60) overall and an astounding 48.8% (20-for-41) from beyond the three-point line. The Lady Railsplitters made just four trips to the charity stripe, knocking down a pair.
- LMU outrebounded E&H by a 36-28 margin, but managed just three second chance points compared to eight for the Wasps.
- Lincoln Memorial shared the basketball, recording 25 assists on their 30 made baskets, compared to just 10 helpers on 22 buckets for E&H.
- Emory & Henry held a 28-16 advantage on points scored in the paint.
- The Lady Railsplitters' bench put up 37 points while the Wasps' reserves could manage just eight.

- The Wasps are at home again on Saturday, January 31 when they play host to Lenoir-Rhyne University. Tip is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. as the first game of a doubleheader with the women's team.
