ATLANTA, Ga. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Basketball Team has received special mention from the WBCA for its accomplishments in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year. The WBCA is the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

E&H was named as a Special Mention for achieving a team GPA over 3.0. The Wasps finished with an overall GPA of 3.255 and are one of just four South Atlantic Conference schools to receive recognition.

"The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women's basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom," said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. "The 119 teams we honor this year strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!"

Other SAC schools to be recognized were Carson-Newman University, the University of Virginia's College at Wise and Wingate University. 

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
