Emory & Henry Women’s Golf Third After Two Rounds At Newberry Invitational Monday

GREENSBORO, Ga. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Golf Team sits in third place after 36 holes of action at the Newberry Invitational on Monday. The tournament is taking place at Harbor Club Golf Course in Greensboro, Georgia.

Round One
Sophomore Abby Bradley (Castlewood, Va.) shot a +7 (79) to sit tied for second place after the first round while junior Katie Hall (Abingdon, Va.) was tied for fourth at +8 (80).

Freshman McKenzie Hauk (Kingsport, Tenn.) carded a +9 (81) to have sole possession of seventh place as freshman Ally Childs (Leesburg, Va.) was 15th after shooting a +15 (87). Senior Briah Frisbee (Leicester, N.C.) posted a 97 (+25) to finish tied for 26th after 18 holes of play.

Round Two
Bradley shot a +11 (83) on Monday afternoon, falling two spots into fourth place while Hauk's +11 (83) moved her into a three-way tie for sixth.

Hall fell five places into ninth after a round of +13 (85) as Childs held fast at 15th with a +14 (86). Frisbee moved up one place into a three-way tie for 25th, shooting a +21 (93).

The Leaders
Haylie George of Coker University is the clubhouse leader with one round to play at +12 (79-77 – 156) while teammate Daniella Gyoni is two shots back at +14 (78-80 – 158).

Erskine College leads the team competition with four players in the top six and ties at +71 (326-321 – 647) as Coker is four shots behind at +75 (325-326 – 651).
