ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Lacrosse Team has been picked to finish 12th in the South Atlantic Conference this year by the league's head coaches. The poll was released by the SAC office on Thursday.

Last year, Emory & Henry posted an 1-16 overall record with a 0-10 record in South Atlantic Conference play. The Wasps earned the first win in program history on March 24 with a 15-1 drubbing of former Old Dominion Athletic Conference rival Sweet Briar College.
Limestone University, one of three teams to split the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship, is first in the poll with nine of 12 first-place votes. Another defending Regular Season Champion and Tournament Champion Wingate University sits in second with the other three first-place nods while Newberry College is in third. Anderson (S.C.), the third and final team to split the 2024 Regular Season title, is fourth and Lenoir-Rhyne University rounds out the top five.
UVA Wise has been chosen to finish sixth while Lincoln Memorial University is seventh and Tusculum University sits in eighth. Catawba College resides in ninth, while Mars Hill University, Coker University and Emory & Henry are 10th, 11th and 12th respectively.
Additionally the SAC has named its Preseason All-Conference Teams and Players to Watch List with senior attacker Mina Hicks (Lexington Park, Md.) and junior midfielder Justyce Jones (Jacksonville, N.C.) making the list for the Wasps.
Emory & Henry kicks off the 2025 campaign on Saturday, February 1 at Southern Wesleyan University.
