ROCK HILL, S.C. - For the first time in its brief history, the Emory & Henry Women's Lacrosse Team has seen a pair of players named to All-South Atlantic Conference Teams, officials announced Tuesday. Senior midfielder Justyce Jones (Jacksonville, N.C.) and junior defender Megan D'Amore (Mooresville, N.C.) were both selected to the All-SAC Third Team.

Jones led the Wasps with 42 total points during the season, including ranking second on the squad in goals (27) and leading the team in assists (15). She also led E&H with 67 ground balls and 68 shots, while tying teammate D'Amore with 45 caused turnovers which also led all players in the SAC. The Jacksonville, N.C. native tied a pair of E&H single-game records as she collected four assists in a SAC win over Mars Hill (Apr. 1) and gathered 12 draw controls at Coker (Apr. 4). Jones finishes her Emory & Henry as the program's leader in career goals (77), points (98), ground balls (145), draw controls (165), caused turnovers (80), free-position goals (22), games played (47) and games started (47).
D'Amore made an immediate impact for the Wasps during her first season in Emory as she was tied with Jones, causing a SAC-leading 45 turnovers. She was a stalwart for E&H on defense, leading the team with 76 draw controls and ranking second on the squad with 44 ground balls. D'Amore also registered a goal in the program's first win over a Division II opponent in a 17-16 decision over Lees McRae (Feb. 18).
Wingate dominated the awards as Stacy Glover was named Attacker of the Year and Freshman of the Year, Kathryn McCabe was selected Defensive Player of the Year and Abby Wiley was picked as Coach of the Year. Anderson's Megan Muir rounded out the honors as Midfielder of the Year.
