Shorter Men's Wrestling Defeats Emory & Henry In Conference Carolinas Dual Friday

ROME, Ga. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Wrestling Team (0-13, 0-10 Carolinas) dropped a Conference Carolinas road dual to Shorter University (2-4, 2-4) Carolinas inside the Winthrop-King Centre Friday evening. The Wasps won two of the three contested bouts, but fell by a 35-12 margin due to forfeits.

- The dual began at 30-0 in favor of the Hawks due to forfeits by the Wasps at 133, 165, 184, 197 and 285 pounds.
- Freshman Isaac Hensley (Vilas, N.C.) earned his second win by pinfall of the season as he pinned Ethan Ross in 5:50 at the 149-pound weight class.
- Fifth year Levi Field (Manassas, Va.) picked up his third conference win of the year with a pin of Cumberland Kines in just 1:03 at 157 pounds.
- Freshman Colton Lewis (Tarboro, N.C.) was defeated by a 22-2 technical fall by Riley Davis in their 174-pound bout.
