How It Happened
-  E&H immediately put pressure on the Bruins, firing a pair of shots in the opening five minutes. The Wasps got on the scoreboard in the ninth minute when a deflected clearance caromed off of a Bruin defender and found the back of the goal for a BJU own goal to make it 1-0 in favor of the home team. Emory & Henry outshot Bob Jones 11-1 over the following 30 minutes, but could not increase its lead. Junior forward/midfielder Charlotte Stavis (Charlotte, N.C.) finally broke through in the 40th minute when she curled a shot past the outstretched arms of the BJU goalkeeper for her South Atlantic Conference-leading sixth goal of the year to double the Wasps' margin to 2-0. E&H fired two more attempts, but the score held at 2-0 at the halftime break.
- The Wasps kept the pressure on in the second stanza, as they recorded 18 shots compared to just two for the Bruins. Bob Jones goalkeeper Margaret Cummings was up to the task, keeping E&H scoreless throughout the half. The Bruins struggled to create anything offensively and the homestanding Wasps held on for the 2-0 victory.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Stavis led the way for E&H with a career-high 14 shots, 10 of which were on target, and the lone goal scored by the Wasps. Junior midfielder Abbie Smith (Virginia Beach, Va.) and sophomore forward/midfielder Audrey Grzeszczak (Pompano Beach, Fla.) added four attempts each, while freshman forward Bailey Springman (Sarasota, Fla.) added three shots.
