Kendyl Baird is entering her second year as an Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Emory & Henry College. She will assist Head Coach McCallie Jones-Winstead in all the day-to-day operations of the program including training sessions, match planning, equipment, travel and recruiting.
Baird joins E&H after previously coaching club soccer with F.C. Dallas Tri-Cities, based out of Kingsport, Tennessee and High Country Soccer Association in her native Boone, North Carolina. She has also coached at the high school level, leading Tennessee High School for the 2017 season.
Baird was a four-year starter at King (Tenn.) University where she scored 17 goals and assisted on 10 others, earning First Team All-Conference Carolinas and all-region accolades. She was also a standout in the classroom, being named academic all-conference, academic all-region and a recipient of the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award. Following her career with the Lady Tornado, Baird played in the Women's Premier Soccer League with the Knoxville Lady Force.
A 2016 graduate of King, Baird holds a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training with a minor in coaching. Her sister, Ashlyn, was a four-year letterwinner on the basketball court for Emory & Henry (2008-12).
