EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry
College Athletic Department is getting a new face with the launch
of a brand-new website. The new online home of the Wasps will still
carry the GoWasps.com address but will now be hosted with
PrestoSports, a Maryland-based company that specializes in small
college athletic websites. First-year Sports Information Director
Joe Matthews arrived in the middle of May and
started work on the project immediately.
“I’m extremely excited for the public to see the
new and improved GoWasps.com,” said Matthews of the
launch. “I believe that it has first-rate design, and
will be easy to navigate for everyone interested in learning more
about the athletic programs here at Emory &
Henry.”
E&H selected PrestoSports due to its commitment to quality and
the fact that the majority of Old Dominion Athletic Conference
(ODAC) programs, the ODAC conference site and many of the D3 sports
sites are already “in network” with the PrestoSports
family. With this relationship, score reporting and statistical
updates after contests will feed to those locations
automatically.
The new site offers a clean and modern look, while also giving the
athletic department expanded opportunities to highlight news,
pictures and videos.
“The website is the ‘front porch’ for our
athletic program, and I’m very pleased that we’re
getting this facelift on our house!,” said Director of
Athletics Myra Sims. “I think this will
be a tremendous asset to us in promoting our programs, and in
publicizing the accomplishments of our student-athletes and
coaches. It will also benefit us in our recruiting efforts since
the web is the first place that prospects go when they want to get
information about a program.”
The site can be accessed at www.GoWasps.com.
