Sara Schoenhoft is entering her second year as Head Softball Coach at Emory & Henry College.
Last year, Schoenhoft led the Wasps to a 14-25 record and their first ODAC Tournament berth since the 2007 season.
She comes to Emory & Henry after serving as the assistant coach at Division III Western New England College.
In 2011, WNEC finished with a final record of 27-18. The Golden
Bears advanced through The Commonwealth Coast Conference tournament
before losing in the championship game. During that stint,
Schoenhoft was responsible for practice planning, game management,
coaching third base, recruiting and fundraising.
Prior to WNEC, she also served as an assistant coach at Amherst College which is a perennial power in NCAA Division III athletics. Schoenhoft completed her Master of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Studies at Smith College this past spring. While at Smith, she also worked as an assistant in the sports information department.
A 2007 graduate of Kenyon College, Schoenhoft was an outstanding catcher and hitter. She earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in three of her four seasons at Kenyon and is among the program leaders in several statistical categories.
