Guilford Women's Tennis Defeats Emory & Henry, 7-2, Sunday Afternoon
GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Guilford College Women's Tennis Team (9-7, 6-3 ODAC) picked up a 7-2 win in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play over Emory & Henry College (6-11, 2-7 ODAC) Sunday afternoon at the Dorothy Ragsdale McMichael Centennial Class Courts.
Sophomore Alyssa Wingate (Independence, Va.) picked up a (7-5, 6-2) victory at number one singles and teamed up with freshman Sarah Vishnev (Mooresville, N.C.) for an 8-3 win at the first doubles flight.
Emory & Henry will have 11 days of rest before its final home match of the season on Thursday, April 12. The Wasps will host the Highland Cavaliers of the University of Virginia's College at Wise beginning at 4:00 p.m.
