Parker Gravitt is entering his first year as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Emory & Henry University. Coach Parker brings a passion for the defensive side of basketball and brings a history of leading his teams to successful defensive seasons.

Prior to arriving to Southwest Virginia, Parker was an assistant at Texas A&M University-Texarkana where he was the team's defensive coordinator and played a big role as a skill development coach as well as a recruiter. The Eagles finished the 2024-25 season with a 20-10 record and were one of the best defensive teams in their conference.

Gravitt previously served as a men's basketball assistant coach at his alma mater Champion Christian College in Hot Springs, Arkansas for two seasons while also serving as Head Coach of the developmental team. He helped accumulate a record of 33-14 at Champion and helped lead the program to its first-ever National Tournament appearance while winning the 2023-24 Champion JV Tournament as the Head Coach. 

His first years of coaching began at Gospel Light Christian School also located in Hot Springs. Gravitt served as the Head Coach of the junior high boys basketball team and was the boys varsity assistant coach. He helped lead the varsity to a 26-4 season an a state championship runner-up while also leading the junior high boys to a 12-6 season and a final four appearance in the junior state playoffs.

Coach Gravitt is most passionate about his defensive success and looks to bring a defensive mentality to the Wasps.
