Emory & Henry Volleyball Splits Opening Day Of Bobcat Classic

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Emory & Henry University Volleyball Team (1-1) got the 2025 regular season underway Friday with a pair of matches at the Bobcat Classic hosted by Georgia College. The Wasps fell in four sets to the host Bobcats in the first match of the day, before sweeping Albany State University in the second match. 

The Basics

The Georgia College Match
- Senior middle Gracyn Miller (Lilburn, Ga.) led the Wasps with eight kills, 10 digs, two blocks, one assist and a service ace. Sophomore outside hitter Tori Boling (Tega Cay, S.C.) registered eight kills, 18 digs and a service ace while freshman middle Alyssa Meier (Clinton, Tenn.) added eight kills and seven digs.
- Senior setter Logan Newberry (Glade Spring, Va.) recorded a team-high 17 assists, five digs, two kills and a service ace. Sophomore setter Zoie Pace (Collinsville, Va.) went for 16 assists, three digs and a kill. Freshman libero Gracy Lasig (Knoxville, Tenn.) had a match-high 25 digs and two assists in her collegiate debut. 

The Albany State Match
- Boling was the leading scorer for E&H in the win as she posted seven kills, four service aces, two digs, one block and an assist. Senior outside hitter Julissa Hopgood (Lutz, Fla.) had six kills, five blocks, one dig and an assist while Miller added seven blocks, three kills, four assists and three digs.
- Newberry had seven assists, three digs and a service ace to go along with Pace's six helpers, four digs, two service aces and one kill. 

Up Next
- Emory & Henry wraps up the Bobcat Classic on Saturday with two more matches. The Wasps will take on Rollins College at 9:00 a.m., before facing Young Harris College at 4:30 p.m..
